Detail of Performance: "Let me be your translator" This is part of a performance art work in which I offered my services as a translator. I realized a call for entries toSpanish

speaking people in my country of origin Peru, asking for texts, letters, and poems written in Spanish. I offered to translate them to English and to present them to an Anglo

speaking public where I live, asking also for written responses in English, like letters, poems and other texts.

I video tape people reading the English translations and realize video collages of images mixed with the images of the persons that are reading.

In this case one of the videos displays my friend David reading the poem written by Huaira Basaber, who is also a performance and visual artist.

This is a work in process which final result will be displayed as video poems as a dialogue in English and Spanish to share with audiences of both languages in an Internet

channel/vlog. Several artists have collaborated in this piece, as well as other people from different non artistic backgrounds.
